Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez is 'confident' that his team will be re-instated in this season's Copa del Rey following their ban issued by the RFEF Competition Committee.
As it stands, the Spanish giants will play no further part in this season's Spanish Cup after being found guilty of playing an ineligible player.
Denis Cheryshev's three yellow cards in the competition while on loan at Villarreal last season meant that the Russian should not have featured, but he started and indeed scored in the 3-1 win over Cadiz.
Real Madrid were subsequently banned following an appeal by last-32 opponents Cadiz, but Los Blancos have since launched an appeal of their own.
"Of course, we still think we are right, and have a lot of confidence in what courts will decide in the end," Benitez told reporters.
Real Madrid will round off their Champions League Group A campaign with a home match against Malmo on Tuesday.
