Real Madrid Rafael Benitez has refused to comment on reports that Robert Lewandowski is the club's leading target for next summer.
It has been claimed that Los Blancos are becoming increasingly confident of prising the 27-year-old from Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
During a pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash against Malmo, Benitez was asked about the Polish international, but the Spaniard remained tight-lipped.
"In a press conference before a Champions League game I will not talk about signings or other players," Benitez, whose own position at the Bernabeu is far from secure, told reporters.
Lewandowski, who moved to the Allianz Arena from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, has scored 20 times in 22 appearances for Bayern this season.
