Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema says that Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe would be welcome at Los Blancos, with the Spanish giants heavily linked with a move.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has expressed his desire for France teammate Kylian Mbappe to join him at Los Blancos from Paris Saint-Germain.

The future of the 22-year-old is unclear with only one year remaining on his contract at the Parc des Princes, and Real Madrid are reportedly confident of a move for the attacker.

Benzema will link up with the French national side for the first time in six years for Euro 2020 this summer and he could use his time on international duty to talk to Mbappe about his club future.

Speaking to Marca, Benzema said: "I don't know what will happen, but Mbappe would be welcome at Real Madrid. He is a player who has all the qualities to be a player of Madrid in the future, I hope so.

"I don't like to compare. He is still a young player, a phenomenon. I have already been able to train alongside him, we play with one touch, he has movements, puts a lot of speed and has skill in the face of goal. He's a very, very good player."

PSG are hopeful that Mbappe will sign a new four-year contract with the club, but should he refuse to accept their offer then they could look to cash in on the forward.
