Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo believes that Real Madrid should be "punished" for the way they have gone about their business regarding Kylian Mbappe.
The 22-year-old recently admitted that he asked to leave the Ligue 1 giants over the summer, with Real Madrid seeing PSG stall over a nine-figure sum for his services.
Mbappe is now being tipped to head to the Bernabeu on a free transfer when his deal expires at the end of the season, but Leonardo has not given up hope of a new deal and has been less than impressed with Real's attempts to lure him away from Paris.
Speaking to Festival dello Sport, the PSG chief said: "Our idea is to extend Kylian Mbappe's contract. Nothing has changed in our plans. Kylian is a jewel, he is incredibly perfect for PSG... then we've Kylian, Leo [Messi], Ney. We've never planned PSG future without Mbappe.
"From Madrid they deny, but I think Real Madrid have been doing a job to buy Mbappé [as a free agent] for a long time. For two years they have been speaking publicly about Mbappe. This must be punished."
Mbappe has totalled four goals and five assists from his opening 11 games of the 2021-22 season across all tournaments.
