Yet to win at home in Serie A this season, Sampdoria aim to claim maximum points at the 12th attempt on Saturday, when they host mid-table Bologna.
Though they doggedly held Inter goalless at Marassi on Monday, Samp are still eight points shy of safety. Meanwhile, their visitors' fine run of form ended in defeat against Monza last week.
We say: Sampdoria 1-0 Bologna
Samp have scored in just one of their last six games, while Bologna have hardly been prolific during 2023 to date. A close contest is to be expected, then, but it could finally be the day that the Blucerchiati faithful see their unstinting support rewarded with maximum points.

Having steadied the ship by posting two gritty wins at home and in Europe, AC Milan aim to keep momentum building on Saturday, when they visit near neighbours Monza.
The two Lombardy clubs come from different stratospheres in terms of history, but only five places separate them in the Serie A standings due to the champions' recent wobble and their hosts' fine start to 2023.
We say: Monza 1-1 AC Milan
Monza are now a tough nut to crack, so even a recent return to something like normality for Milan may not see them in shape to end their hosts' unbeaten run. Lacking their old vibrancy up front, with Rafael Leao still struggling, the champions could have to settle for a point.

Inter Milan vs. Udinese (Saturday, 7.45pm)

After a frustrating road trip earlier this week, Inter Milan look to continue their improving home form on Saturday evening, when Udinese visit San Siro.
Despite being held goalless by Serie A strugglers Sampdoria on Monday, Inter still occupy second place in the standings. Meanwhile, the Bianconeri's stuttering start to 2023 continued with a draw at home to Sassuolo last time out.
We say: Inter Milan 2-0 Udinese
No Serie A side has scored more times during the opening half-hour than Inter this season, while Udinese have often proved sluggish early on; conceding the most goals in the opening 15 minutes. That seems like a recipe for defeat as far as the Fruilani are concerned - particularly as they lack the tools to fight back given their forwards' dire form.
