Scotland manager Gordan Strachan admits that tonight's 2-1 defeat to Wales was a "hugely disappointing" way to mark his competitive debut as manager.

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has admitted that his side's late collapse against Wales tonight came as a bitter blow.

Despite taking the lead through Grant Hanley, the home side lost 2-1 at Hampden Park thanks to late strikes from Aaron Ramsey and Hal Robson-Kanu in the space of 90 seconds.

Strachan conceded that his side failed to regroup after having Robert Snodgrass sent off and suffered a second straight defeat to Wales as a result.

He told Sky Sports News: "We never got reorganised before the second goal went in.

"It was that quick. We didn't have time to make changes or get any subs on and that's killed us. The midfield don't really know each other and they way Wales started spooked us. They were excellent at the start of the match.

"But the game turned our way and the second half was an excellent start for us. It is hugely disappointing."

Scotland are still without a win in their World Cup qualifying campaign and stay bottom of Group A.
