Connor Wickham will reportedly make his first start for Sheffield Wednesday in their league clash against Birmingham City on Tuesday.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones will reportedly hand Connor Wickham his first start for the Championship club in their league clash against Birmingham City on Tuesday.

The England Under-21 international, who joined the club on loan from Sunderland on February 8, impressed after coming off the bench against Derby County last weekend.

According to Press Association, the 19-year-old will be handed the lone role in attack for the Owls at St Andrews.

Wednesday have not lost in their last six matches, but they remain in 20th position in the table, two points from safety.

Wickham, whose loan spell with the club will come to an end next month, has scored just one league goal for Sunderland.
