Southampton midfielder Steven Davis has admitted that the Premier League basement club need to start picking up points this season.
The 27-year-old, who joined the club from Rangers in the summer, has also refused to blame under-fire Saints boss Nigel Adkins for their difficult start to the season.
"The manager tries to take the pressure away from us as much as possible and lets us try and concentrate on the football. There's still plenty of games left - but we need to get points on the board as soon as possible," Davis told reporters.
Davis has made 55 international appearances for Northern Ireland.
