Lokomotiv were ahead inside 12 minutes after Baye Niasse raced clear of the Sporting defence and saw his effort saved by Rui Patricio, but Aleksandr Samedov was on hand to fire home the rebound.
The Green and Whites levelled proceedings five minutes into the second half as a inch-perfect through-pass from Carlos Mane teed up Fredy Montero and the Colombian forward smashed his shot into the roof of the net.

However, the visitors restored their lead within six minutes of conceding the equaliser as Samedov latched on to Niasse's pass before stroking the ball into the bottom corner.
On 65 minutes, Lokomotiv wrapped up victory as Niasse powered through the Sporting backline before slipping his effort beyond the reach of Patricio.
The win sees the Russian side top Group H.
