Sports Mole provides score predictions for Wednesday's Champions League matches as Tottenham Hotspur host RB Leipzig and Atalanta face Valencia.

Atalanta BC and Valencia head into the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with both clubs acknowledging that they have been provided with an excellent opportunity to make further progress in the competition.

While Atalanta currently sit in fourth position in Serie A, Valencia find themselves down in seventh spot in La Liga.

We say: Atalanta BC 2-1 Valencia

While both teams will feel confident of earning a result in the reverse fixture should it be required, the pressure is on to gain a stranglehold of this tie. Atalanta are the favourites and we expect a home victory, although do not be surprised if Valencia claim what could prove to be an all-important away goal.

Tottenham vs. RB Leipzig (Wednesday, 8pm)

Tottenham Hotspur welcome Bundesliga high-flyers RB Leipzig to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Spurs finished second to Bayern Munich in Group B to reach the knockout stages for a third season running, while Leipzig topped Group G to reach this stage for the first time.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 RB Leipzig

Tottenham will be hoping to avoid a repeat of the last occasion a German side visited their ground, with that heavy loss to Bayern still fresh in the memory. In what is the first ever competitive meeting between the sides, we are tipping Spurs to edge a tight contest in North London and take a slender advantage to Germany for the return match next month.
