Emmanuel Adebayor 'to be left out of Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League squad'

Emmanuel Adebayor will reportedly be exiled from Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League squad after failing to agree a move away in the summer transfer window.

Out-of-favour striker Emmanuel Adebayor will reportedly not be included in Tottenham Hotspur's 25-man Premier League squad.

Both West Ham United and Aston Villa were linked with moves for the Togolese before Tuesday's transfer deadline, but a financial agreement could not be reached with Spurs.

Adebayor still has a year left on his £100,000-a-week contract and wanted Spurs to pay out the full amount, around £5m, if he was to be released.

He has not been included in Tottenham's squad for the Europa League and the same will happen in the Premier League, according to the Evening Standard.

Adebayor scored 17 league goals in his first year at Spurs on loan in 2011-12, but in the three seasons since he has managed just 18, including only two last term.
