Alex Pritchard hoping to impress during loan spell at Brentford

Tottenham's highly-rated midfielder Alex Pritchard is hoping to use his loan spell at Championship side Brentford to impress the watching eyes at White Hart Lane.

Alex Pritchard has said that he wants to use his loan spell at Brentford to impress the watching eyes at Tottenham Hotspur.

The midfielder, who made his debut for England's Under-21s this week, has previously spent time away from Spurs at Peterborough United and Swindon Town.

He already feels settled at Griffin Park, having joined earlier this summer, and is hoping that playing regularly in the Championship will provide him with the platform to show those at White Hart Lane what he can do.

Pritchard told reporters: "I had my first full year of men's football at Swindon so I'm looking to continue that here. I felt I needed to make the step back up to Championship, where I've previously played with Peterborough.

"Hopefully people will be watching and I can show them what I can do. But you've just got to concentrate on your game and the rest will take care of itself.

"I'm a Brentford player now so I'll work hard for the team and whatever happens, happens. I've settled in really well. All the lads have made me feel welcome."

Pritchard, 21, has scored one goal in five appearances for Brentford so far this season.
