Tim Sherwood expects Emmanuel Adebayor return next week

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood expects Emmanuel Adebayor to be fit for Monday's Premier League clash at home to Sunderland.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has revealed that he expects Emmanuel Adebayor to return from injury for Monday's Premier League clash at home to Sunderland.

The striker has missed Spurs' last three games with hamstring and heel problems respectively.

However, the 30-year-old is now back in full training with his teammates.

"It's great to see him back out there," Sherwood is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"We'll continue to assess him as the week progresses and hopefully he'll then be back in contention against Sunderland. He's obviously been a big miss. He's been outstanding for us."

Adebayor has scored 11 goals in 19 games for Tottenham so far this season.
