Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole previews the match at White Hart Lane between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino must decide whether to include Harry Kane after his Europa League hat-trick in midweek.

Kane has been a regular on the substitutes' bench in the Premier League this season but his treble against Asteras Tripolis could earn him the nod over Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado.

Defender Federico Fazio is suspended after being sent off in the 4-1 defeat at Manchester City, while Nabil Bentaleb and Kyle Naughton will undergo fitness tests over the weekend.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew believes that his team are starting to regain their confidence after they registered their first league win of the season against Leicester City last weekend.

That success made it just one defeat in five for the Magpies, who have been a regular fixture in the bottom three since August, but Pardew believes that his side can mount a push up the table after breaking their duck last Saturday.

Ryan Taylor returns to the Newcastle squad for the first time in 26 months after two cruciate knee ligament injuries, but he will have to settle for a place on the bench at White Hart Lane.

Striker Papiss Cisse could be absent with a knee problem, while there are doubts over Cheick Tiote, Mike Williamson and Emmanuel Riviere.
