Report: Federico Fazio considering £5m move to West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly edging closer to signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio after agreeing a £5m fee.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio is contemplating a £5m move to West Bromwich Albion, according to reports.

The Argentine international only moved to North London 12 months ago, but has fallen behind new signings Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer in the pecking order.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis has spoken openly of his desire to sign several new players before the window shuts, and Fazio is one of his top targets, according to The Telegraph.

The paper claims that Spurs have accepted a £5m offer and personal terms have been agreed, leaving Fazio the choice of completing the deal or staying to fight for his place at Spurs.

The 28-year-old made 31 appearances for Spurs last season.
