Real Madrid have reportedly identified Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen as a potential signing for next summer.
Despite Spurs being happy to part ways with the Denmark international ahead of this season, they received no acceptable bids from interested clubs.
That was partly due to Eriksen currently being available on a free transfer at the start of July due to his contract coming to an end.
According to reports in Spain, Real are already considering whether to take advantage of the situation, aware that the playmaker is open to a switch to the Bernabeu.
However, it is also claimed that Manchester United's Paul Pogba remains Real's first choice, with a move for Eriksen only materialising if the World Cup winner pens a new deal at Old Trafford.
