New Fulham midfielder Scott Parker has admitted that he did not want to drop out of the Premier League this summer.
The 32-year-old, who moved to Craven Cottage from Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, reportedly turned down the chance to join Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
"Staying in the Premier League and playing for Fulham is good option for me, and one I'm really looking forward to. It was one of the main reasons [I signed]," he told the club's official website.
"I'm obviously very pleased - it's dragged on a little bit - as well as being a good club and something I wanted to be part of."
Parker has become the seventh new arrival at Fulham this summer.
