Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly moved a step closer to securing a deal to sign Marseille forward Andre Ayew.
Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be keen to sign an attacker this month as he looks to bring in support for Harry Kane, who has taken full advantage of a longer run in the side due to the inconsistent form of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.
According to Le 10 Sport, Spurs are considering an attempt to complete the move for Ayew this month, despite having the opportunity to sign him for free when his contract expires in the summer.
However, it remains unclear whether Marseille will be willing to allow the 25-year-old to leave in the transfer window as Marcelo Bielsa is keen to retain his services for the Ligue 1 title race.
Ayew has scored three goals in 15 league games this season.
