Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has hailed the quality of goalscorer Jermaine Pennant following his side's 1-0 win over West Ham United.
The former Liverpool winger secured the Potters' second Premier League victory of the season when he fired in a free kick in the 82nd minute.
Hughes told BBC Sport: "Jermaine is a talented boy, and I'm really pleased that he's still with us.
"I know he's had his problems in the past but since I've come through the door he's been excellent, and he is always a threat with his natural ability."
Stoke have taken six points from their opening three Premier League games.
