Georg Niedermeier signs new Stuttgart deal

Defender Georg Niedermeier signs a new two-year deal with Stuttgart.

Stuttgart defender Georg Niedermeier has signed a new two-year contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

The 26-year-old, who joined the German club from Bayern Munich in 2009, has become a key member of their side in recent seasons.

"I have established myself in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart and the club has a place in my heart," he told vfb.de.

"I would like to grow even more as a leading player and play in Europe with this club. I will continue to give all I have got to achieve that in the coming years."

The deal will keep the defender at Stuttgart until at least 2016.
