An unnamed Qatari club has reportedly launched a bid to sign Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan.
The Ghanaian, who is currently on loan with United Arab Emirates side Al Ain, is understood to have told the Premier League club that he is keen to leave Wearside permanently.
Despite Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill recently suggesting that Gyan could return to the North East, it is believed that a Qatari club has made an approach for the 26-year-old, according to Sky Sports News.
Reports emerged yesterday claiming that Sunderland are open to selling the striker for the right fee.
