Swansea City striker Danny Graham has said that Swansea's 2-0 victory over Fulham at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday was a "must-win".
Goals from Scott Sinclair and substitute Graham secured their first three points after four games without a victory.
"It's games like this you want to be winning to stay in the league," said Graham. "Everyone was saying it was a must-win game.
"I thought the boys dealt with it ever so well. We've come out and played well, created chances and managed to win the game.
"We got after Fulham and I think we deserved the three points in the end."
Graham also said that the win would give the Swans confidence ahead of their clash with Newcastle at St James's Park next Saturday.
"A win brings confidence, goals bring confidence throughout the team," Graham added.
"We look forward to Saturday's game at Newcastle and we'll go there aiming to win the game.
"We'll have a good week's training next week. The gaffer [Brendan Rodgers] will have had Newcastle watched and we'll study them and try and kick forward."
Swansea are currently 11th in the Premier League with 17 points from 15 games.
