AC Milan survive Torino scare

Mario Balotelli scores in injury time to rescue a point for AC Milan at Torino in Serie A.

Mario Balotelli has scored an injury-time penalty to help AC Milan rescue a 2-2 draw with Torino away from home in Serie A.

There was a quiet start to the match as Giuseppe Vives fired wide from distance, before Riccardo Montolivo and Cristian Zaccardo also failed with their attempts on the hosts' goal.

The Turin side gradually grew in confidence and tested the Milan defence through Mattia Darmian and Ciro Immobile.

There were little notable events for the remainder of the first half, which ended with Milan midfielder Montolivo being substituted with a thigh injury and returning playmaker Kaka being given the captain's armband.

The match burst into life just two minutes into the second half when Danilo D`Ambrosio cut inside Zaccardo and shot home past Christian Abbiati.

Torino doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute with a counter-attacking move that saw Immobile send Alessio Cerci through on goal to slam home from close range.

Sulley Muntari pulled one back for Milan three minutes from normal time and then in the sixth minute of injury time Balotelli slotted home a penalty that Andrea Poli earned after being brought down by Giovanni Pasquale.
