Dimitar Berbatov hints at Premier League return

Dimitar Berbatov says that he wants to return to the Premier League following his release from Monaco.

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that he would be "delighted" to play in the Premier League once again.

The Bulgarian is a free agent following his release from Monaco this week after spending 18 months at the French club.

As well as playing for the Red Devils, he has enjoyed spells at Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham and has admitted that he would welcome a return to England.

"It'll be a pleasure [to return to England]," Berbatov is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"I spent a long time in England and I keep very good memories. Everyone is watching the Premier League, and I'll be delighted to return.

"I feel good and I think I still have a lot to give to football."

Berbatov scored nine goals in his final season at Monaco.
