Vitesse will welcome Fortuna Sittard to Gelredome on Sunday as the Eredivisie run-in continues to heat up.
While the hosts have already confirmed their relegation, the visitors continue to fight to secure a top-eight finish.
Match preview
It has been a season to forget for Vitesse, with the club having been unable to recover from the 18-point deduction they suffered, leading to their relegation from the Eredivisie.
While they have clawed back to -1 points in the league table, just four wins from 30 matches have left the team far from safety.
The visitors head into this match after four consecutive losses, during which the team scored just once while conceding 15 goals.
It has been a run to forget for Edward Sturing's men, but with four fixtures remaining, the club still has the opportunity to finish on a positive number of points, which they hope to achieve for the fans.
After a 6-0 loss against PSV Eindhoven, Vitesse has a long way to go if they want to turn things around, but they were unable to defeat Fortuna Sittard when they met earlier this season.
The previous fixture between the two teams resulted in a 3-1 victory for Fortuna, and considering they still have a chance of finishing in the European competition playoff positions, they will look to repeat that result.
Danny Buijs saw his team lose during their most recent outing, a close 1-0 defeat against Feyenoord, which extended their run without a win to four games.
Fortuna's recent run of form has come at an inconvenient time. It has left the club seven points adrift of a playoff spot, which places a lot of pressure on them for the final four games of the season.
With a -18 goal difference, there is also a need for Buijs to push the attacking members of his team to create more chances should it come down to that, but the initial focus will be on getting back to winning ways.
Fortuna have only managed to win twice away from home this season, though, with away games proving to be their kryptonite, which will place further pressure on the squad.
Team News
Dominik Oroz will be available for Vitesse after his one-match suspension, and he could slot back into the team immediately on Sunday.
However, the visitors will be without Fode Fofana and Miliano Jonathans due to knee injuries, while Mexx Meerdink is dealing with a groin issue.
The visitors will also be boosted by the return of a player fresh from suspension, as Rodrigo Gurth could slot back into the back four after serving his ban.
Arianit Ferati is a doubt because of injury, but Ragna Oratmangoen overcame his own fitness issue to feature from the bench last weekend, so he will be an option once again.
Vitesse possible starting lineup:
Room; Arcus, Isimat-Mirin, Hendriks, Pinto; Aaronson, Tielemans, Meulensteen; De Regt, Buitink, Kozlowski
Fortuna Sittard possible starting lineup:
Verrips; Pinto, Fofana, Voet, Dijks; Ozyakup, Duarte; Halilovic, Lonwijk, Cordoba; Sierhuis
We say: Vitesse 0-3 Fortuna Sittard
It has been a season to forget for Vitesse and considering they are already relegated, there is very little for them to fight for in this particular match.
While the visitors still have plenty to play for with a potential European position on the line, they will be expected to take all three points.
