Gareth Bale has acknowledged that his strike for Wales in their Euro 2016 qualifying victory over Belgium was the most important of his career.
The 25-year-old notched the only goal of the game in the 25th minute to fire Chris Coleman's men to a 1-0 win at at Cardiff City Stadium, moving Wales three points clear at the top of Group B.
"I think that was definitely the most important goal I've scored," Bale told Sky Sports News. "It was our biggest international game and we rose to the occasion and got the win we needed.
"At the start of the campaign, if you'd offered us the chance to be top of the group after six games we'd have bitten your hand off.
"We prepared well, we worked hard together we played good football. We were under the cosh at times but we battled in every area and I felt we deserved the win in the end."
The clash against Belgium also marked Bale's 50th cap for Wales.
