Giuseppe Sannino is said to be on the verge of becoming Watford's new head coach.
The 56-year-old, who left his post with Serie A side Chievo last month, has claimed that he is to fly to England to discuss taking over at Vicarage Road just a day after Gianfranco Zola resigned as Hornets boss.
Sannino told Radio Sportiva: "Me to Watford? I don't want to say too much, but there has been some contact and soon I will fly to England to analyse things and to understand if something can be born.
"I always want to be working in the field and I always want new challenges."
This morning SkyBet suspended betting on Sannino after he was backed into odds of 1/8.
If Sannino does take over, then his first match in charge will be a trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday.
