Preview: Watford vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole previews this weekend's Championship encounter between Watford and Wigan Athletic.

Fifth-placed Watford welcome midtable Championship opponents Wigan Athletic to Vicarage Road this weekend.

Gianfranco Zola's Watford side can extend their unbeaten league run to four with a win over former Premier League side Wigan following their Capital One Cup exit to Norwich City this week.

While the Hornets suffered that blow their league form has been positive, with two straight wins following one defeat and three draws in their last six encounters.

For the visitors on Saturday, Owen Coyle's men were heavily beaten 5-0 by former English champions Manchester City in the third round of the Capital One Cup, but their last league encounter ended 2-0 in the Latics' favour over Ipswich Town.

Troy Deeney is likely to be installed as an attacking threat for Watford, while Coyle could keep faith with Manchester United loanee Nick Powell.
