Tony Pulis: 'Who benefits from my £8,000 fine?'

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis says that he will ask Football Association chairman Greg Dyke who benefits from fines issued by the governing body.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has questioned who benefits from fines issued by the Football Association after he was handed a punishment of £8,000 earlier this week.

Pulis was quick to accept his charge for improper conduct after the final whistle of West Brom's 3-2 defeat to Leicester City last weekend, but the Baggies boss has revealed that he will be contacting FA chairman Greg Dyke to ask who will receive the four-figure sum.

The 57-year-old told reporters: "On the fine, Greg Dyke has been a fantastic advocate for transparency in FIFA and UEFA. I'll be writing him a letter and asking him where my £8,000 is going to go.

"If it's going to a charity, which I hope it is because the FA are a non-profit organisation, I'd like to send it up to the Donna Louise hospice in Stoke-on-Trent. And I'd like transparency on that so everyone can see where my money is going.

"Let's be fair, there are enormous amounts of money being taken by the FA now in respect of managers being fined, and I think I have the right to know where it's going. It's my money, not the FA's money."

Last month, Pulis posed the same question after Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was hit with a £50,000 fine.
