West Ham United confirm that defender Daniel Potts will stay in hospital today for further scans after he was knocked unconscious against Arsenal.

West Ham United have confirmed that defender Daniel Potts will stay in hospital for another day to undergo further tests.

The 18-year-old remained in hospital overnight after he was knocked unconscious from a head collision with Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna during last night's 5-1 defeat to the Gunners.

The Premier League outfit have announced that Potts, who was stretchered off to an ambulance, will have more scans and further assessment today.

Potts made his senior debut for the club against Barnsley in December 2011.
