Morgan Amalfitano to join West Ham United?

French reports claim that Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano flies to London to undergo a medical at West Ham.

Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano has reportedly flown to London ahead of a deadline-day move to West Ham United.

The 29-year-old impressed on a season-long loan at West Bromwich Albion last term, prompting a host of Premier League clubs to express their interest in him.

However, the Hammers look poised to win the race for his signature as L'Equipe report that he is en route to London to undergo a medical.

His representatives are said to be in talks with the French club over terminating his contract, meaning that a proposed West Ham switch would be on a Bosman.

Amalfitano struck four goals and bagged three assists for West Brom last season.
