Wolfsburg beat Hoffenheim

Wolfsburg go behind to Hoffenheim but respond to take all three points with a 2-1 win.

Wolfsburg have defeated Hoffenheim 2-1 in the Bundesliga after coming from behind.

The first chance of the game fell to Wolfsburg winger Vieirinha, who met Ricardo Rodriguez's left-wing cross but could not keep his header down.

Hoffenheim capitalised on their let-off on 15 minutes when Anthony Modeste swept home from close range to give his side the lead.

On the half-hour mark Vierinha and Diego combined with the latter shooting low and hard form the edge of the box, but his effort was kept out by Koen Casteels.

The hosts kept up their pressure and were rewarded late in the half as Ivica Olic slammed home from inside the box.

Wolfsburg then found themselves in front just after the restart and it was Olic again, this time firing low from just inside the box.

From then on it was all Wolfsburg as they pressed for a two-goal cushion, which almost came through Rodriguez but his shot was well saved.

There were to be no more goals as Wolfsburg held on for the win.
