How Wolverhampton Wanderers could line up against Slovan Bratislava

Ahead of Thursday's Europa League fixture between Slovan Bratislava and Wolves, Sports Mole looks at how the the Premier League side could line up in Slovakia.

Wolverhampton Wanderers make the trip to Slovakia to face Slovan Bratislava in the Europa League looking to build on their last-gasp victory over Besiktas.

Willy Boly's cool finish during the final seconds in Turkey has left Wolves in third position in Group K, just one point adrift of their hosts on Thursday night.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo is facing several selection dilemmas ahead of the first of four successive away trips in all competitions.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how the Premier League outfit could line up for their third game of the group stages.

WOLXI VS. SLB

Doubtful: Romain Saiss (hamstring), Ruben Neves (ankle), Ryan Bennett (knock), Pedro Neto (heel)

Having suffered an ankle injury against Southampton at the weekend, Ruben Neves is a major doubt, and it is an issue which could impact the make-up of Thursday's lineup.

With Romain Saiss also spending time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, Nuno may be forced to revert to a 3-4-3 formation, with Leander Dendoncker and Joao Moutinho taking on responsibility in the middle of the pitch.

While Morgan Gibbs-White is an option if Nuno opts to stick with a three, the more likely scenario is Diogo Jota either lining up in a position behind the front two or on the left-hand side of the attack alongside Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore.

Nuno also has concerns over the fitness of Ryan Bennett, meaning that Jesus Vallejo is in contention to be included in defence.

However, given that the Spaniard is yet to impress since his arrival at Molineux, Max Kilman may be considered for a rare starting spot on the left-hand side, with Boly switching to the right.
