Raul Jimenez is reportedly unlikely to feature again for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season, as he recovers from a fractured skull sustained at Arsenal in November.

Raul Jimenez is reportedly unlikely to feature again for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season, having already been sidelined since November.

The Mexico international suffered a fractured skull only 15 minutes into Wolves' victory at Arsenal on November 29, when he collided with David Luiz in the 18-yard box.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have struggled this season without their main striker, as they currently sit 14th in the Premier League, compared to a seventh-placed finish in their two previous campaigns.

The Daily Mail reports that the West Midlands club are adopting a prudent method to Jimenez's return, due to the severity of the head injury.

A return to training for the 29-year-old is not to be confused with a rush back to playing games, as he is not involved in contact sessions and still needs to be assessed further before he can start heading the football again.

Jimenez arrived at Molineux in 2018 and has 47 goals in 110 appearances for the club.
