Johnstone's Paint Trophy draw: Wolverhampton Wanderers to host Walsall

Johnstone's Paint Trophy debutantes Wolverhampton Wanderers have been handed a home draw against fellow West Midlanders Walsall in round one.

Wolves, who are competing in the third tier of English football for the first time since 1989 this season, will host the Saddlers in the week commencing September 2.

Other standout ties include Scunthorpe United hosting Sheffield United, and Portsmouth travelling to Torquay United.

Meanwhile, 16 clubs, including Preston North End, Mansfield Town, Newport County and Coventry City, have received byes to the second round.
