Wolverhampton Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey insists that Leigh Griffiths will be returning to the League One club this summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey has insisted that Leigh Griffiths will not be leaving the club this summer.

The 22-year-old Scottish striker has spent the last two seasons on loan at Hibernian.

"He will absolutely be coming back here to play for us next season," Moxey told The Scotsman.

"We have taken up the one year option on his contract, so he is with us and we will be working him.

"There is absolutely no way that Wolverhampton Wanderers has any interest other than having Leigh Griffiths here in the summer training with us in preparation for a League One campaign."

Griffiths scored 28 goals in all competitions for Hibs during the last campaign.
