Report: Artur Boruc out for six weeks

A report suggests that Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc will miss the next six weeks with a fractured hand.

Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc has been ruled out for up to six weeks after fracturing his hand in today's 3-1 defeat to Chelsea.

The Polish keeper sustained the injury while attempting to keep out Demba Ba's effort, from which Gary Cahill levelled on the rebound.

According to PA, Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino will be without his number one until after New Year, meaning that he could miss around eight Premier League games.

Paulo Gazzaniga replaced Boruc just before the hour mark at Stamford Bridge and is expected to deputise in his absence.
