Catalans Dragons centre Vincent Duport has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious shoulder injury.
The 27-year-old ruptured a tendon during his side's surprise 33-22 defeat to Hull FC last month.
Duport is due to undergo surgery before starting his rehabilitation, which is expected to take around six months.
"The news is a hugely disappointing blow for the player and the whole team," head coach Laurent Frayssinous is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "Vincent has already experienced this kind of hardship in the past and I am sure he will come back even stronger."
Catalans Dragons made it two consecutive wins in Super League on Monday thanks to a 32-16 victory at home to Widnes Vikings.
