Martin Johnson was pleased that his England side held their "nerve" during this morning's late victory over Scotland.
England were trailing in the match until the 77th minute when Chris Ashton ran in a try to help record a 16-12 win in Auckland.
"We kept our nerve in the end and got it won. It's never dull," said Johnson.
"We got on top in the second half. We didn't always get rewards but we kept hammering away."
The win has secured England's passage through to the quarter-finals where they will place France.
