Danny Cipriani: 'Sale Sharks future unclear'

Sale Sharks fly-half Danny Cipriani insists that a return to the England setup will not be the only factor that decides his future.

Sale Sharks fly-half Danny Cipriani has insisted that an England recall will not be the only thing on his mind when he decides his future.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and it remains unclear where he will be playing his rugby during the 2015-16 campaign.

England's selection policy says that overseas-based players are ineligible, but Cipriani claims that a decision over his future will not be decided by the possibility of a return to the international setup.

"The decision I make will not be based purely on England selection," he told BT Sport. "There are other factors like family, the opportunities to play in different places or to stay with a quality team that I have thoroughly enjoyed playing for."

Cipriani joined Sale from Melbourne Rebels in 2012.
