Venus Williams: 'Serena Williams one of the best ever'

Venus Williams describes sister Serena Williams as "one of the best that ever played" after losing to the world number one in straight sets at Wimbledon.

Venus Williams has described her sister as "one of the best that ever played" after being beaten by Serena Williams at Wimbledon.

The world number one defeated her older sister in straight sets in the fourth round at SW19, picking up her 15th win in 26 matches against the 16th seed.

The 35-year-old, who has not won a Grand Slam event since 2008, told reporters: "We've played a lot of years and tried to be entertaining. You know the person across the net is so good and the person you respect the most, one of the best that ever played. We won't be playing forever but clearly we're playing at a very high level now."

The top seed faces Victoria Azarenka in the last eight this afternoon.
