Arsenal are reportedly bracing themselves for the possibility of eight first-team players leaving the club in the summer.

Arsenal have reportedly acknowledged the possibility of eight players leaving the Emirates Stadium during the summer.

While the futures of Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have been well-documented, there are concerns that a number of other first-team members could show a willingness to leave the club.

Per Mertesacker is planning on retirement, while Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott are likely to have decisions to make with regular action having not been available this season and their contracts having just 18 months to run.

Aaron Ramsey's next move is also under consideration, with the long-serving Gunner only having two years left on his deal come the summer.

At this stage, Danny Welbeck is also unlikely to be convinced into extending his stay with the England international only currently being used as backup in the top flight.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal are wary of losing a number of players either on a free transfer or below their market value due to the criticism aimed at the club over Ozil and Sanchez.

The Gunners currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table.
