Besiktas left-back Ridvan Yilmaz admits his desire to play in the Premier League and specifically with Arsenal, who may be looking for cover for Kieran Tierney.

Besiktas left-back Ridvan Yilmaz has admitted his desire to leave the recently-crowned Turkish champions and join Arsenal this summer.

The 19-year-old played 18 times for Sergen Yalcin's side in the Super Lig, a title which Besiktas claimed for the first time since 2017 by finishing the season one goal better off than Galatasaray.

Mikel Arteta is believed to want to provide first-choice left-back Kieran Tierney with competition and cover, with the Scottish international proving to be an integral member of the Arsenal side.

Speaking to TRT Spor, Yilmaz said: "I want to leave Besiktas by making money. My heart is in favour of England. I want to play for Arsenal, the Premier League team."

Arsenal will be aiming for a better campaign next season, with seventh being the highest position the side can finish this year if the Gunners can beat Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Yilmaz played for Besiktas' youth team, making his first-team debut in the 2018-19 season and going on to make 29 appearances for the Turkish giants.
