Bayern Munich chief Herbert Hainer is "convinced" that current boss Hansi Flick will stay at the club, despite speculation linking him with the Germany national team job.

Bayern Munich chief Herbert Hainer has said that he is "convinced" manager Hansi Flick will remain at the club, despite rumours linking him to the Germany job.

Joachim Low will step down as the German international head coach after the European Championship this summer, leaving the national team needing to find a replacement.

Bayern boss Flick has emerged as a potential candidate after impressing at the helm of the German giants, winning the treble last season, including the Champions League.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Hainer said: "We are victims here. Our coach is being discussed now because there is a vacancy at the DFB and we should constantly comment on it.

"He hasn't told me that so far. I am firmly convinced that he will still enjoy it with us because he can do a lot with the team.

"He has a great team and a great infrastructure. You don't just give that away."

Flick has been in charge of Bayern since 2019 and has guided his side to the top of the Bundesliga again this season, five points clear of second-placed RB Leipzig with six games to play.
