Chelsea interim manager Roberto Di Matteo dismisses Gareth Bale's recent claim that Tottenham Hotspur are better than Chelsea.

Chelsea interim manager Roberto Di Matteo has dismissed Gareth Bale's claim that Tottenham Hotspur are better than Chelsea.

The Spurs winger recently insisted that his teammates should beat their London rivals in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final if they play to their strengths.

However, Di Matteo believes that anyone can win when the match is a one-off.

"We respect his opinion and we'll see on Sunday," the Italian told reporters. "Obviously, I don't agree with him.

"When you play a one-off game, it's difficult to say who's the favourite because of the form the team's in. The dynamic of the game is different.

"This is a decisive game. We are in good form. We've been getting some good results and the players are confident."

The two sides played out a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge at the end of March.
