Crawley Town boss Richie Barker frustrated with goal drought

Crawley Town boss Richie Barker hopes that the team will bring their seven-game goal drought to an end.

Crawley Town manager Richie Barker has expressed hope that the team will end their recent goal drought.

The Red Devils have scored just once in their last seven League One games, which have seen four defeats and three draws.

Barker has admitted that while he would like to see the side score more goals, it must not come at the expense of their defensive duties.

"At the minute we are trying as many things as we can," he told BBC Sussex.

"The statistic of number of goals in games is not great admittedly, but at some point we have to pick up points and results. To do that you have to keep clean sheets.

"I said to the players when things were going really well that we need to make hay while the sun shines as at some point it won't work for us. Unfortunately that is the point we are going through at the minute."

Crawley sit 12th in the League One table.
