Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea 'reach full agreement' for Jadon Sancho loan-to-buy deal

Chelsea reportedly reach an agreement to sign Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United with an obligation to buy next summer.

Chelsea have finally struck a deal to sign Manchester United's Jadon Sancho on loan with an obligation to buy next summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Despite patching up his relationship with Erik ten Hag after their memorable falling out last summer, the former Borussia Dortmund winger has not played any Premier League minutes for the Red Devils this season.

As a result, a permanent move away from Old Trafford was always expected to materialise, although a prospective switch to Juventus broke down earlier on deadline day when the Old Lady pulled out of negotiations.

Instead, Chelsea - who had also been heavily linked with an approach - ramped up talks over a late agreement, and according to Romano, the two parties have now finally reached a breakthrough.

Sancho will join Enzo Maresca's side on a temporary deal with an obligation to join permanently in 2025, and reporter Ben Jacobs claims that the fee will be around £25m, representing a major loss for Man United.

The 24-year-old will leave Old Trafford with just 12 goals and six assists to show from 83 competitive matches for Man United, and his arrival in West London could pave the way for Raheem Sterling to join Arsenal.

The Gunners' talks with Chelsea over a deal for the ex-Liverpool man are said to be at their final stages, although the Blues asking for a loan fee could throw a spanner in the works.
