Coventry City bounce back to beat Peterborough United

Coventry City shock Peterborough United with 3-2 comeback win at the Ricoh Arena, having trailed by two goals at the break of the League One encounter.

Coventry City ended their poor run of form at the Ricoh Arena with a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Peterborough United in League One this afternoon.

The away side took the lead on 17 minutes when Jon Taylor slid in to convert Marcus Maddison's cross.

Maddison then grabbed his sixth goal of the season to doubled Posh's lead ten minutes later when his 30-yard free kick deceived Lee Burge in the Coventry goal.

However, Ryan Haynes pulled a goal back for Steven Pressley's side shortly after the restart when he stroked home John Fleck's cross following an incisive Coventry break.

The Sky Blues were level through Jim O'Brien just after the hour mark when he fired home at the back post and, just two minutes later, Frank Nouble completed an unlikely comeback when he ran from the halfway line and fired a deflected effort past Ben Alnwick.
