Watford see off Rotherham United

Watford score twice in the second half to claim all three points in their Championship clash against Rotherham United.

Second-half strikes from Lloyd Dyer and Gianni Munari have given Watford a 2-0 victory against Rotherham United in their Championship match at the New York Stadium.

The hosts started the game strongly, with Ben Pringle and Alex Revell both having efforts on goal early on.

Matej Vydra was the first Watford player to fashion a chance, but he could only fire his free kick high over the bar.

On the half-hour mark Rotherham threatened when Craig Morgan headed just over the bar from Pringle's corner.

Paul Taylor was close for Rotherham moments later, but after cutting inside from the left, he curled his effort over the bar.

After a goalless first half, the hosts almost took the lead a minute after the restart, but Taylor fired over after being picked out by Pringle.

In the 74th minute Watford broke the deadlock when Odion Ighalo's shot was saved by Adam Collin, but Dyer reacted quickly to smash the ball into the net.

With three minutes left to play Munari added a second for the visitors when he finished from close range to seal the three points.
