Arsenal are reportedly reluctant to sell Gabriel Jesus this summer despite talk over a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilian spent five years with Manchester City before he completed a £45m transfer to Arsenal in the summer of 2022.

Jesus enjoyed a reasonably successful first season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 26 Premier League matches despite missing just over two months with a knee injury.

However, he could only muster four goals and five assists in 27 top-flight appearances during a tumultuous 2023-24 campaign.

However, it is currently unclear whether Almiron will still be a Newcastle player when the transfer window closes next month.

According to Football Insider, the Paraguay international is in advanced talks to join an unnamed Saudi Arabian club.

Manchester United have boosted their squad with the signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro this summer, but at least two more are expected to arrive before the transfer window closes.

Indeed, the Red Devils are said to be actively working on deals for right-back Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

A left-back and another centre-back could also potentially arrive, but the 20-time English champions first need to focus on outgoings, as the club are working to financial restraints.

Mason Greenwood, Willy Kambwala, Alvaro Fernandez, Donny van de Beek, Omari Forson, Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial, Shola Shoretire and Brandon Williams have already left this summer.

Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of completing their deal to sign Riccardo Calafiori, with the Bologna defender expected to undergo his medical in London imminently.

The Gunners have had a relatively quiet summer compared to some of their Premier League rivals, with David Raya being the only confirmed signing so far.

Raya spent last season on loan at the Emirates Stadium from Brentford and completed a permanent move to North London at the start of the month.

The Premier League runners-up have been pursuing the Italian defender for several weeks, navigating tough negotiations with Bologna before finalising an agreement last week.

West Ham United have reportedly failed with an approach for Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams.

The Hammers are currently undergoing somewhat of a rebuild under new boss Julen Lopetegui, who has already spent £65m to sign Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme.

However, there are a number of areas of the pitch that require further strengthening, it well documented that the East Londoners are pushing to bring in Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran.

Furthermore, West Ham's pursuit of a new right-back has been highlighted of late, with Bayern Munich's Noussair Mazraoui known to be on their shortlist.

Man United handed boost in race for Branthwaite?

Manchester United transfer target Jarrad Branthwaite is reportedly unwilling to sign a new contract with Everton unless they match the £160,000-a-week offer made by the Red Devils.

The 22-year-old established himself as one of the Premier League's top young defenders last season, during which he made 35 league appearances and scored three goals.

United proposed two offers for the centre-back after the 2023-24 season concluded, with the first being in the region of £35m plus £10m in add-ons, while the second was £45m plus £5m in add-ons.

Both offers were turned down almost immediately, as Everton had set a valuation of £70m for the one-time capped England international.

Lindstrom delivers clear message having completed Everton loan move

Everton have confirmed that they have finalised the loan signing of Napoli winger Jesper Lindstrom.

Having successfully fended off the threat of further points deductions through breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations, the Toffees are now in a position where they have more leeway in the market.

That is particularly the case now that Amadou Onana has completed his £50m transfer to Aston Villa, and Sean Dyche will eventually need to add at least one more central midfielder to his squad.

In the short term, though, Dyche and the club's recruitment team have taken the opportunity to get a deal for Lindstrom over the line.

Arsenal are reportedly preparing to renew their interest in signing an Ajax attacker during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have been searching far and wide for a new forward without coming close to getting a deal over the line.

Benjamin Sesko has penned a new contract with RB Leipzig, while there is yet to be a willingness from Arsenal to meet the valuations of Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres or Brentford's Ivan Toney.

As a result, Mikel Arteta has been left to consider his options with just three weeks remaining until the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of finalising a deal to acquire Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen as a potential replacement for Djordje Petrovic.

Jorgensen, recognised for his ability with the ball at his feet, has attracted the attention of the Blues' hierarchy, who are looking to find a goalkeeper who aligns with Enzo Maresca's new system.

At present, Robert Sanchez has been promoted to the role of Chelsea's starting goalkeeper, filling in for Petrovic, who is sidelined with an injury.

Reports earlier this week suggested that the Blues are also looking to offload the Serbian this summer despite only signing him at the start of last season.

Manchester United are reportedly "now pushing" to sign Noussair Mazraoui, with the Red Devils hijacking West Ham United's switch for the Bayern Munich defender.

West Ham were seemingly closing in on a deal for the Morocco international, having come to an agreement with Bayern over a move for the right-back.

However, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, a switch to the London Stadium is now "off", with Man United instead pushing to secure Mazraoui's signature.

On X, Plettenberg wrote: "No agreement on agent's side has been reached. Despite the agreement between the clubs (15.5 + 4) and on player's side West Ham now have left the negotiations.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has insisted that there has been no change to the club's transfer plans for the summer window.

Ahead of his second season in charge, Postecoglou is looking to make further alterations to his squad in a bid to move into the top four of the Premier League standings.

Spurs must also contend with the return of European football to their schedule, and the likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall have been added to the group, as well as Timo Werner returning on loan.

However, Spurs have made no new senior additions since July 2, the lack of developments inevitably causing some unrest among the fanbase.

Malang Sarr has finally found a new permanent club, leaving Chelsea to return to France with Lens on a two-year contract.

During the early days of Mauricio Pochettino's reign, it became apparent that the 25-year-old had no future at Stamford Bridge, his new boss needing reminding at a press conference that he was still at the club.

The entire 2023-24 campaign passed without there being a single sighting of Sarr, who had spent the previous season on loan at Monaco.

However, with a year left on his contract, there was an inevitability about a departure before the end of August as Chelsea look to reduce their outgoings.

However, West Ham are seemingly at the head of the queue, and according to Sky Deutschland, the London club have now reached an agreement with Bayern over the Morocco international's signature.

    The fee is allegedly €16m (£13.5m) plus €3.5m (£3m) in performance-related add-ons.

Julian Alvarez is reportedly expected to be priced out of a move away from Manchester City during this summer's transfer window, with the Citizens unwilling to sell him for a cut-price fee.

The 24-year-old has proven to be a successful signing for Pep Guardiola's side, scoring 36 times and registering 18 assists in 103 appearances for the club since his arrival from River Plate in January 2022.

Alvarez helped Argentina win the 2022 World Cup and 2024 Copa America, and he is now representing his country at the Olympics in Paris.

The forward signed a contract extension with Man City in March 2023, with his deal now running until June 2028, but there has been speculation surrounding his future this summer.

As it stands, Eddie Howe has been forced to oversee somewhat of a lop-sided summer transfer window, business being conducted to adhere to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.

The 21-year-old has featured in both of the team's pre-season games this summer, including the second half of their 2-0 victory over Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
